John Trumbull Robinson

Died: December 14, 1996

John is remembered by his roommates as a kind and gentle man and a good and thoughtful friend. He had a deep love for music and literature, and he was eager to share with others the satisfaction he derived from those pursuits. Despite the academic demands at Yale, he sought to make a contribution to the wider community while at Yale by working in the Winchester Theatre for Children.

John was afflicted with both diabetes and mental illness. While the latter was somewhat in abeyance during his years at Yale, it became more debilitating afterwards. After he moved to New York City, he was institutionalized part of the time. He died in the Manhattan Psychiatric Center on December 14, 1996.
