In the last issue we alerted you that you should have received in the mail a printed booklet containing memorials to the roughly 50 Classmates who have died since the 50th Reunion. When that was written we were quite confident of delivery prior to your receipt of that issue. Alas, problems with the printing company have prevented us from meeting that schedule. And they continue. At the time of writing this note in mid-September we are not even sure of delivery by mid-November. But never fear, you will at some point in the not-too-distant future be receiving the booklet, and we can assure you it will be well worth the wait!
We are pleased to announce that the Class has a new YAA Delegate, Ben Liptzin. Ben will be replacing Ron Romaine, who did a notable job over the past three years. Thanks to Ron for all his good work! Ben, by the way, has an extra incentive to follow what is happening in New Haven. He has a granddaughter in the class of 2024.
It’s not too late to sign up for the 22nd annual Winterfest to be held in Crested Butte, Colorado on February 6 – 10. Ned Snyder, a Crested Butte homeowner (nedsnyderiii@aol.com), is the lead organizer. As we age, the downhill skiing part of the event becomes less and less important. The group camaraderie is the real focus. It is sure to be great fun!
Don’t forget our monthly luncheons at the Yale Club in NYC. Depending on the Club opening situation they should be up and running on the second Tuesday of each month.
